What I do:
I specialize in two-dimensional large-scale organic and geometric art. I also have been appreciating working with groups to create large-scale art together.
Materials I use:
Whatever is at hand and abundant. I tend to use the beach for its size and copious quantity of 'paint'. I have also used green wastes from a city park. I am interested in working with tile.
Size I go:
Generally, as large as possible given time and material constraints. On the beach I am limited by the tide. Elsewhere I tend to find limitation with materials.
Time I take:
On the beach I usually give myself about 2 hours. Off the beach and when there is more time to work, the extra time goes into details or materials acquisition.
Where I do it:
For the beach art I require special conditions if size is the goal- a flat, expansive beach that gets wet at high tide. If I'm not creating at the beach, I work within the limits of the location.
Fee:
This is entirely dependent upon the scope of the project and what it requires of me in pre, during, and post production, including travel and expenses. Synergy Kombucha 20 year anniversary community offering 11/2015
After the main artwork and photography were complete, the public was invited to draw henna flowers around the beach.
